Why People Buy Art – 7 Points, and Inspiration

Inscríbete

Why do people buy art? What makes them decide to pay a decent amount of money for an art piece, and why that particular one? Christian Furr has taken his vast experience over many years, enjoying his art yet also being very successful at selling it and using it in innovative and ingenious ways to get to the cutting-edge of the market. Christian has developed his own 7-point business model, and speaks at this conference of how you can be both, a true artist creating through inspiration and a businessperson, enabled to earn a living through doing what you love.

The event will consist of a 45 minute talk, followed by canapés and refreshments, and summarised by a further 30 minutes talk, concluding with an informal Q and A 'on the sofa'.

Christian Furr // won recognition of his talent at just 28 when he became the youngest artist commissioned to paint an official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. During his early career while Furr was highly sought after for his portrait commissions, simultaneously following the strong tradition of representation in British modern and contemporary art throughout his oeuvre.  Furr’s desire to broaden his artistic language has led to many well-received collaborations with  other artists.
