Alicante has a modern and convenient system of public transportation.  Various types of transportation are available for movement within the city, the province, throughout Spain and for travel to other European countries.

Alicante’s El Altet airport is situated only ten kilometers from the city center and provides both national and international service.  International flights represent 80% of the traffic at El Altet.  The countries from which the greatest number of tourists come are the United Kingdom, Germany and Holland.
